Does the idea of living to 100 appeal to you? Some of us in our generation may say "Thanks, but no thanks." That's because most people want to enjoy their lives while they're healthy but don't cherish the thought of becoming old and sick and dependent on other people for our daily needs.
Well, I heard on the radio this morning that there's some report out that claimed for people born after the year 2000, about one-half of them should expect to live to be 100. My first thought when I heard that was that if people are going to live that long, they'd better change their habits!
The newer generation, and even the 'Boomers,' have an opportunity to take care of their health a little differently than we've known how to in the past. We've seen tremendous breakthroughs in the science of longevity. We've made incredible progress in understanding how nutrition and supplements slow the aging process. We've learned the science behind different forms of exercise, so we can encourage our bodies to build instead of decay.
Most importantly, in my opinion, we've arrived at a time when people everywhere are beginning to understand how to use the mind to influence their health. People are flocking to yoga classes, Law of Attraction seminars and all kinds of healing practices. To me, that shows we're starting to take responsibility for our health and the quality of our lives.
In that spirit, I have created a new website, which is focused on healthy aging and wellness. I'm sharing health tips that I've found in my research, and posting articles that may be helpful in your quest for more vibrant health. Feel free to visit me at http://WellBeingStrategies.com.
To your health!
